Dr Paul Chambers was born in Hong Kong and grew up in the British Channel Islands.
He studied geology at the University of Portsmouth and micropalaeontology at University
College London and the Natural History Museum, London. He has variously worked as
a palaeontologist, as a journal editor and as a television researcher and producer
(BBC and independent television). His television credits include the Walking with
Dinosaurs series and all its sequels.
Paul Chambers's writing credits include books on subjects as diverse as elephants,
dinosaurs, the natural history of the giant tortoise, medieval genealogy and an eighteenth
century scandal. He has written for television and radio and produced numerous articles
on a diverse range of subjects as well as being the ghostwriter behind several children's
factual books. His works have received critical acclaim (see reviews on this website).
He is married with a daughter and lives in the Channel Islands.
